CurieDx is a mobile app that enables self-screening through a smartphone camera and artificial intelligence. The solution provides instant analysis of strep throat and other conditions and allows you to check in with a telehealth clinician.
Hexcite created an environment for collaboration with teammates from different industries. During their time with Hexcite, the CurieDx team identified the key hypotheses to test, honed their business model, and sharpened their pitch and presentation skills. As a direct result of networking from the final pitch event, CurieDx was granted support and credits from AWS, met potential investors, and found a technical collaborator.
CurieDx secured $445,000 in additional funding after participating in Hexcite to support further customer discovery, business development, app development, and pursuing FDA approval. Funding awards ranged from Johns Hopkins commercialization grants to state and federal sources.
